Migration

…so many birds

I came for eagles. When I stopped in at the Rangers station to ask for a best spot, they also mentioned that Tule Lake would have thousands of waterfowl in it. I was kind enough not to guffaw at the “thousands” comment. Ha! The joke was on me. They also pointed me to a marsh where there would be Mute Swans and lots of ducks and geese. I stuck with the swans – firsts for me.

Of course, I stopped at the same place I found the eagles the day before. Aside from that, there were Snow Geese, White Fronted Geese, Canadian Geese, Mute Swans, And a variety of ducks, mostly in the distance.

I captured some nice flight sequences. One of those I put to a slideshow. There is a photo of mom & pop eagle in the nest together. Pop is yelling at someone, then he takes off to another perch.

Enjoy and remember, Popi loves ya.
