Do you ever feel like there’s a damn equal force or greater pushing back? For a topic today, CoPilot suggested the everyday struggles of the average person. Having no concept of “average” I dug in assuming I was anything but. I am surely a less than. I think we all face these day-to-day difficulties, but I’m just exceptionally bad at it. That doesn’t mean I won’t try.
I have very strong feelings about my capacities. That’s because if I push them, bad things usually come of it. Once I commit, I don’t seem to know how to back off. It’s crazy, I know, but I think I thrive on the struggle. Tell me “No” or “You can’t do that” and I’ll say, “hold my beer”. That’s anything but a brag. It’s one of the traits I hate that runs through my family like a plague. We are incapable of finding the easy way or even looking for it. We are a disaster looking for an outlet. If we had a family motto it would be:
‘If you don’t hurt from it, you didn’t try hard enough.’
Struggle
…like you’re pushing a load of lumber though the Rockies in a steam train.
Everyday life presents a relentless battlefield where the pursuit of achievement is often met with formidable resistance. This struggle is not merely a challenge; it is a defining characteristic of our existence, shaping our identities and fueling our ambitions. In navigating these obstacles, we cultivate resilience and determination, pushing ourselves to confront and transcend the barriers that lie ahead. The relentless pursuit of a finish line – any finish line.
Ultimately, it is through this arduous journey that we discover our true potential and the strength to prevail against adversity. This relentless drive to push boundaries often comes at a cost, leaving scars that remind us of our battles. Yet, each setback becomes a lesson, teaching us to adapt and grow stronger. We forge connections with others who share our tenacity, creating a community bound by shared struggles and triumphs. In the end, the journey becomes as valuable as the destination, as we learn to embrace the struggles that shape our lives.

As we engage with our challenges, we develop a profound understanding of perseverance and commitment. Each step forward, no matter how small, reinforces our belief in our capabilities and instills a sense of purpose. By acknowledging the pain and hardship inherent in our experiences, we gain clarity and insight that propel us toward our goals. Ultimately, this process not only fortifies our character but also enriches our lives, enabling us to appreciate the beauty found within the struggle itself.
Through these trials, we uncover hidden strengths and talents that may have otherwise remained dormant. The bonds we create along the way serve as a reminder that we are not alone in our endeavors. Together, we celebrate the small victories that punctuate our paths, reinforcing our resolve to keep pushing forward. Each challenge becomes an opportunity for growth, teaching us resilience and fostering a deeper appreciation for the journey we undertake. In this way, we transform obstacles into steppingstones, paving the way for future successes.
And, yes, even those of us doomed to the worst of the struggle, whether through their own fault or not, shall also find the way home.
