Spin isn’t always an outright lie. Sometimes it’s just the convenient truth left unsaid. In ‘Who’s spin is it?’ I directly address this self-defeating trend. In today’s hyper-caustic political landscape, the art of omission has become every partisan’s favorite tool. We rightly call out the left when they manipulate the facts, but if we’re being honest with ourselves, how often are we turning a blind eye when our own side does the exact same thing?
NOTE: I don’t feel like doing either report today. I may do them later when I get over my hissy-fit, but right now, this is what I want to write about.

I think we’ve all hit a saturation point with information, or rather, spin. It’s easy to spot when the opposition leaves out key context, but it’s much harder to admit when our side does it. When we justify that kind of selective truth-telling just to score political points, we lose the high ground and end up trapped in the same game we claim to despise.
Because of the caustic environment we live in today, some on the right are just as likely to utilize that tactic as our “loyal opposition” on the left. I like to think of myself as right of center – sometimes, hard right. To those who say I am certainly closer to far right, I would respond that it might seem that way when measured against the extreme left mentality we are facing right now from the opposition. The Center left has disappeared, much like the ‘silent majority’ did starting in the 60s. Personally, my core beliefs haven’t been altered one bit in 74 years. My opinion of those reporting on the day’s events certainly has.
I am a hard-nose about truth – facts – reality. Doing these reports on a daily basis has shown me just how deep the rot has infested our society. Worse than that, I now know that neither side solidly holds the moral high ground. The rank and file surely hold the truth to be imperative. After all, they have to live in it. But, those “selling the truth” can spin it anyway their network allows and in some cases, I suspect the story wont be told without the spin – not ever. Until we stand up to that and stop watching them spin our lives straight down the drain, we will continue to circle it along with all the BS we’re wallowing in.
My tipping point came yesterday watching a clip of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin’s report on election integrity. I don’t track every political figure closely, but his comments were gaining a lot of traction across news networks and social media feeds. I didn’t immediately come to the conclusion that something was “off” with his speech. In fact, I was somewhat inspired by it. But then after time past and I could digest what he said, it occurred to me that he never said that any of these suspect registrations actually turned into votes cast. My internal alarm bells rang. He didn’t tell a lie; the raw numbers came from federal cross-checks. But raw numbers without operational context leave room for dramatic interpretation. By conflating potential administrative matches with actual illegal voting, an ongoing maintenance task was framed as an active election crisis. It was a textbook example of how a half-truth can be more persuasive than a lie. How many Americans now believe his words were gospel and full disclosure? Are we any better than those we claim are full of beans? Incidentally, those “true-believers” might very well never hear the truth, and that’s a fact, and that scares the shit out of me. These people vote too.

The video I mentioned (link below) refers to recent statements made by Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin (former U.S. Senator) during a DHS news conference on election security.
What Was Claimed
- 250,000 Non-Citizens: Secretary Mullin stated that preliminary DHS reviews identified roughly 250,000 potential non-citizens registered to vote across four states—California (~190,800), New Jersey (~35,100), Nevada (~15,900), and Pennsylvania (~14,500).
- 400,000 Deceased Voters: He also noted that checks across roughly two dozen participating states flagged around 400,000 deceased individuals still listed on voter rolls, along with 28,000 other potential non-citizen registrations.
Key Context & How the Numbers Were Reached
- Methodology: A White House official and election experts noted the 250,000 figure was generated by cross-referencing public state voter registration files with commercial data and the federal SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) database.
- “Registered” vs. “Voted”: Neither DHS nor the administration claimed that these individuals actually cast ballots in an election—only that they appeared as potential matches on registration lists.
- Data Matching Challenges: Election security and data experts (such as the nonpartisan Center for Election Innovation & Research) point out that matching commercial and immigration databases against voter rolls often creates high rates of false positives:
- Naturalized Citizens: The SAVE database often contains outdated status records for immigrants who have since become naturalized U.S. citizens (and are fully legally eligible to vote).
- Name/DOB Overlaps: Commercial lists frequently mistake different individuals with similar names and birthdates for the same person.
- Deceased Records: State voter rolls naturally retain deceased voters for a period because federal law (under the National Voter Registration Act) mandates specific notification and waiting procedures before states can legally remove someone from official voter files.
Secretary Mullin stated DHS sent letters requesting cooperation from state election officials to review these lists, while state secretaries of state have noted that voter rolls are regularly cleaned using state death records and official vital statistics.

Pointing this out isn’t about attacking Secretary Mullin or giving a pass to election integrity concerns. Cleaning voter rolls and resolving cross-database discrepancies is necessary, common-sense work. But if those of us on the right want to maintain the moral high ground when calling out media bias on the left, we have to demand total honesty from our own side, too. Sensationalizing potential administrative flags as active fraud might win headlines today, but it erodes the very trust in our institutions we claim to be protecting. WTF, over? Didn’t the left spend four years doing the very same shit to Donald Trump and his administration? Where does it stop? When can I say, “Aha, there’s the truth.” How can I claim a moral high-ground I do not stand upon through no fault of my own?
One point I must set straight here is this: I absolutely DO believe our elections are in jeopardy of being manipulated by the worst of us. I absolutely agree with the SAVE Act. That’s simply a common sense security measure. There can never be doubt in any citizen’s mind that their vote was counted. Right now, in the minds of average Americans, that is in serious contention. Are they all being counted? Are votes being changed by voting machines (can they be?)? Who the hell knows?

Do you remember the outrage that resulted from all those mail-in votes showing up after the polls closed down in Georgia in 2020 and just about every single one was a Biden vote (or so we were told)? I do! I was knee deep in the outrage myself. I wanted Democrat heads to roll. Do you remember? Yes? Well, let me tell you a story about all that BS.
That story stems from how votes were tabulated in Georgia on Election Night in 2020; specifically in heavily populated urban areas like Fulton County (Atlanta) and Clayton County.
When broken down, the reality comes to three main factors: how mail-in ballots were processed, party voting patterns, and an allegation that was ultimately investigated and debunked.
1. The “Blue Shift” Mechanics
Under Georgia election law at the time, election workers could not finish processing mail-in ballots prior to Election Day. Because mail-in ballots require multi-step verification (opening envelopes, checking signatures, and flattening paper), they take significantly longer to process than in-person machine votes.
- In-person votes (which leaned heavily Republican) were tabulated and posted quickly on Election Night, giving Donald Trump an early lead.
- Mail-in ballots (which leaned heavily Democratic) took days to fully process and were released in large batches late Tuesday night and into Wednesday and Thursday.
This sequencing created a dynamic where late updates heavily favored Joe Biden, a phenomenon political scientists call the “blue shift.”
2. Were “Just About All” of Them Biden Votes?
They weren’t 100% for Biden, but the margins in those late-arriving mail-in batches were lopsided for two reasons:
- Party Messaging: President Trump actively discouraged his base from using mail-in voting in 2020, urging them to vote in person on Election Day instead. Conversely, the Democratic campaign heavily pushed mail-in voting.
- Geography: The last counties finishing their mail-in counts were deep-blue urban areas. In Clayton County, for instance, mail-in ballots went roughly 85% for Biden to 15% for Trump.
3. The “Suitcases / Late Night” Claim at State Farm Arena
A major driver of the narrative was a viral surveillance video from Fulton County’s counting center at State Farm Arena, which alleged that workers pulled “suitcases” of hidden ballots out from under tables after observers left.
The Georgia Secretary of State’s office, the State Election Board, and federal investigators thoroughly reviewed the unedited, full-day surveillance footage and concluded:
- Standard Containers: The “suitcases” were standard, sealed ballot trunks that election workers had packed away earlier when they thought they were wrapping up for the night.
- Told to Resume: When state officials instructed them to keep counting, workers pulled the same sealed trunks back out from under the tables to continue scanning.
- Verified by Audits: Every ballot scanned was an official ballot checked by county personnel. Georgia subsequently conducted three separate counts, including a full manual hand recount, which verified the accuracy of the overall tally.
Summary – Who’s spin is it?
The sudden surge in votes wasn’t caused by new or uncounted ballots “appearing” out of nowhere, nor were they 100% for one candidate. It was the delayed reporting of a massive backlog of legally cast mail-in ballots from heavily Democratic counties that had to be processed under strict statutory rules.

I just don’t know who to believe anymore. I have very strong gut feelings that there was indeed massive fraud committed in 2020. But, it’s just a feeling. I have no proof, nor have I seen concrete proof of massive voter fraud. That doesn’t help me to dismiss the notion that Joe 47-years-of-nothing Biden received 81 million votes. That feeling is somewhat based (though much less so now) on all the crap we’re fed – not just from social media, but from the very organizations that are suppose to be disclosing the truth always. So my core beliefs have been altered to some degree by my own party’s BS and that of the networks I thought might be reliable. As it turns out, they’re all full of shit a lot of the time. So much so that we are left with the impossible task of figuring out if any of it is real and what.
Anyway, if the report Mr. Mullin presented was intended to inspire change, it’s lack of depth made it anything but constructive. I’m left to wonder – well – WTF, over? Is there any viable reason to continue to attempt to deconstruct the bullshit from the truth. If there is NO truth being disclosed anywhere, or only part of it everywhere, what’s the point?
Now I’m so dreadfully depressed that I can’t escape this crap and go to the sea, the woods, the mountains, the creek that runs through town – anywhere but here and exposed to it always. FEKK!
