Principles and Policies

I am somewhat loose with policies. Conversely, I am wicked principled. Whether anyone agrees with my principles or not, is irrelevant. I will listen, I will think about, and if acceptable, I will revise my principles and policies. Mind you, my principles have had seventy-four years to fester, so don’t hold your breathe. 😋

Principles & Policies - Sunset over rolling hills with golden light and dramatic clouds
A vibrant sunset casts golden light over rolling hills under dramatic clouds.

I’m not running a business from here anymore, so these are hardly necessary, I think. However, Yoast says I should have a Policies page. Here it is. If I think of, or remember other driving forces for my creations, I’ll add them here.

Principles & Policies:

  • I will never single out a person or group for targeting. This is not a Bully Pulpit.
  • I will take verifiable input from anywhere and include it in my news reports.
  • I will identify my opinion always.
  • If I express my opinion it will be genuine – no fluff, no pulling punches.
  • If I am proven wrong about anything I publicly post, I will admit and retract it publicly.
  • I will never lie about anything I post. I commit to a complete deep dive confirmation before I print what I report on.
  • Readers can respond to any article I release. I require only that you be honest and respectful. See the top of the list.
  • I use Perplexity AI to do deep dive on the prominent News stories around the world for my Popi’s UnSpun News. The AI must provide links where I can verify the content. I will provide the reader with links to the entire story on it’s respective news service.
  • I use Gemini to help with formatting and organizing before I post my reports.
  • Gemini also researches Popi’s Good News content.
  • 95 to 100% of the imaging and videos/reels included with either report are AI generated – primarily by WordPress’ built-in Image and Reel creator. For these images I let the AI come up with three prompts and I choose one to add to the post, which it them generates.
  • With all other posts, photo releases or otherwise, I generally use my own photos, but for some articles I create I don’t have appropriate images myself. I’ll get Gemini, who is more or less looking over my shoulder as I create these articles, to build a relevant image from a prompt. For the record; Gemini is way faster that WP’s AI.
  • The books I display for reading here on my site are the genuine article from my vault. I wrote every word with either Grammarly, Word, or WordPress’ spelling, format, and grammar correction assistance.
