A moment of light interrupts the flow of the Zzzzzzz ‘s, but it’s fleeting and you’re right back in the thick of it…
The Zzzzzzz ‘s rule all things
The light continues to invade your space, only this time there’s the clashing of trash can lids so loud that you jump clean out of bed and have no recollection of doing so. You’re just there at the foot of your bed with not a thought in your head except…”WT -unholy- F is going on here? Over!“
As you attempt a clear thought, that effort is instantly voided.
“Good morning, troops.” A painfully stentorian voice greets you.
“This morning, in preparation for the upcoming day, we are rising early. We’ll eat breakfast in five minutes, do our morning PT, then when we’ve finished orally purging breakfast from our systems, we’ll fall back to the barracks to put clothes on.
“Then we gear up with a 70lb ruck each and hit the hills, at quick time.
“Are there any questions? Now is the time to ask.
“No?
“Then get your butts out on the quad.
“Hut, hut, hut…”
Then the light hits you again. You wake. You wonder about the dream. Then you slowly take in your surroundings. Your alone. Who opened the blinds. You rotate to rise from bed and four treat-starved eyes are staring at you.
You ask with some trepidation, “which one opened the blinds?”
They say nothing, as usual, but look at each other accusingly.
The free ones are definitely not the same.
This will have to pass until my lazy a$$ makes it to my office. Some days I wake really late (10:30- today). The doom scrolling starts right after the first cuppa joe is in my hands and I make it to the front porch screening room. Eventually, I get down to business. See you then.
Edited at 1330 – when I finally hit the office. I just couldn’t let this one lazy-boy post from the porch destroy my perfect SEO record.

If you can’t wait for my brief, go here and pick something. Nothing in there is more than three months old – I’m talking blog posts themselves, not the images and videos. Some if not most of those will be from the archives. The news posts use mostly AI images I have it create. I can usually let the AI review the post, determine it’s intent (usually with success) and come up with several pertinent images to use. Actually – image prompts are what it helps to generate with my input, then I feed the finished prompt back to the same AI with the command “create this image”, and boom, the Bob and his uncle thing happens.
What does the Bible say about Dreams?
