Back to Shadow Cliffs for more of the same but, surprise, surprise, Del Valle’s Eagles use Shadow Cliffs as a supplemental fishing ground. I doubt that goes over big with the Ospreys that fish here. I’ve Osprey at Del Valle so I guess they share.

Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area, located on the border of Pleasanton and Livermore, has a history rooted in the industrial growth of the Tri-Valley. Long before it was a destination for swimming and fishing, the site served as a major gravel quarry operated by Kaiser Industries.

These photos were all made on the same day. I mention this because most of the hill images show the grass already turned brown, while in some photos the grass is green. The green is the north side of the slopes which get no direct sun all day.
