04Aug-Photo Release – This was one of those day trips I was talking about the other day. I’d been over this way a few times and remembered that the sun was a horror just about all day if you wanted to shoot the city or the bay. Except for a bit of haze, shooting the other way was just fine. I did manage to grab some nice frames and I have displayed them before. I took some liberties with the first go round as the sun presented so many problems for me and I really wanted the city from that perspective for my collection, so I used AI a lot for the city shots, mostly for replacing the blown out sky.
I’m a bit more adept at refining my shots now and this go round, though I’m only releasing a few, I used normal editing tools only – no AI. The results are okay, though I wouldn’t try to sell any of these as is. The view from the top of Hawk Hill on the Marin Headlands is a 360 degree wonderland of scenery. I could have done better with some filters I suppose, but I hadn’t gotten around to that aspect of photography and wasn’t too sure of which filters to use. Before spending a bunch of money on them I wanted to do some research and ask questions of my instructors.
If the good Lord is willing and my health improves, I will return to Hawk Hill one day to redo this shoot with a whole new bags of tools to use. I can’t wait.
